SIHLANGU FANS TO PAY E50 FOR TOGO CLASH
MBABANE – The tickets for the TotalEnergies Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) Qualifiers 2023 match between Eswatini and Togo are now on sale.
The game will take place at Mbombela Stadium in South Africa (SA) on Sunday, June 18 at 3pm. Eswatini will be hoping to keep their slim chances of qualifying for next year’s continental tournament alive by beating their West African opponents. The Eswatini Football Association (EFA) has announced that the tickets are priced at E50 and can be purchased from Computickets. The EFA Marketing and Communications Officer, Muzi Radebe, said that they would also make arrangements to have some tickets available at the stadium on the day of the match. Radebe was speaking on the national radio, Eswatini Broadcasting and Information Services (EBIS) Sports Show yesterday morning.
Travelling
Meanwhile, fans who are interested in travelling to the neighbouring country to support Dominic Kunene’s men will have to pay E370. This fee excludes the gate entry fee. Eswatini National Supporters Committee (ENCA) Chairman Menzi ‘Madlakadlaka’ Dladla explained that the price was higher than that of the previous trip, which was against Cape Verde, because the transport would return at night, hence the need to take fans close to their homes. Closer to 50 fans had travelled in the previous trip. Supporters who are interested in travelling to Mbombela Stadium can express their interest by contacting Treasurer Philile Simelane at 7652 1913 alternatively 76952 1913. Eswatini are third in Group B with two points from four games. They still have a chance of qualifying if they win their remaining fixtures against Togo and Burkina Faso, who have already secured their spot as group leaders.
