PLE STARS, COACHES GRACE INSTACASH TOURNAMENT

MANZINI – Evelyn Baring and Sibetsaphi High schools will meet in the Instacash School’s tournament after winning their semi-finals matches at Mavuso Sports centre.

The games, which were played on Friday, saw MTN Premier League known faces in the stands, among others was Mbabane Swallows’ Felix ‘Fela’ Badenhorst, Wonder ‘Samba Jive’ Nhleko, Manzini Wanderers coach Nyanga ‘Crooks’ Hlophe, Rangers Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Thembinkosi Hlanze, Eswatini’ Under-20 national team coaches Mduduzi ‘Sikhalo’ Nxumalo, his assistant Sabelo ‘Skhiya’ Mnisi and former kaizer Chiefs player Sibusiso ‘Spoko’ Dlamini gracing the tournament.

Sibetsaphi won their first game 2-0, defeating Manzini Central High and the second game which was between Evelyn Baring High and Eric Rosenburg saw Nsingizini Hotspurs striker Sambulo ‘Masoso’ Simelane score in extra time in the 117th minute to take his side to the finals after the game finished in a stalemate in regulation time. The finals will be played this coming Friday at the same venue and the first game will see the loser’s finals between Manzini Central and Eric Rosenberg fighting for the third place position. The champions of the Instacash schools competition will take home E20 000 cash prize and a trophy while the runners-up will get E10 000. The third placed school will get E5 000 for their efforts.
