KASI FOOTBALL HEADS NORTH

MBABANE – The entertaining Kasi football heads to Pigg’s Peak tomorrow.

The Kasi to Kasi games is an initiative by local elite players, which started at Ludzeludze a few days after the 2022/23 MTN Premier League season came to an end. The first game was between Mbabane XI, which is coached by former Mbabane Highlanders strong defender Msunduza Malambe against Ludzeludze XI. The former won the match 4-1. The second game was played at Msunduza Sports Ground and this was a fixture between Mbabane XI and Ntondozi XI, spearheaded by Moneni Pirates defender Menzi ‘Magawugawu’ Simelane.

Thriller

Football supporters were this past Wednesday treated to a thriller as Ludzeludze returned for the second leg which they won 2-1. Some of the stars who were paraded by both teams included former Eswatini international player Justice Figuareido, Manzini Wanderers skipper Mlamuli ‘Mlaba’ Nkambule, Mbabane Swallows veteran winger Wonder ‘Samba Jive’ Nhleko, while Ludzeludze paraded the likes of Nsingizini Hotspurs attacking midfielder Thubelihle ‘Tsaizo’ Mavuso, Wanderers’ Sibonginkhosi ‘Gudas’ Dlamini, Moneni Pirates captain Xolani ‘Messi’ Ngwenya to name a few. Tomorrow, the Pigg’s Peak folk will be treated to what promises to be a thriller when the Msunduza Malamba-led side take a drive to the northern part of country to face Pigg’s Peak XI. The game is billed for the Malanda Sports Ground starting at 2pm.
