MANZINI – They are true friends of sports.

That is Eswatini’s newest player in the mobile money business in Instacash, who partnered with Liberty Life and Amandla Financial Services to sponsor the Swaziland National Association of Teachers (SNAT) to the tune of E105 000. This amount will be shared among the 15 SNAT branches across the country for sports. The sponsorship was presented to the association’s President Mbongwa Dlamini by Instacash Managing Director Mandla ‘Cheeks’ Nxumalo and Liberty Life Swaziland Sales Manager Mthokozisi Ntshingila in presence of SNAT executive committee yesterday.

The president said the games would see all the 15 branches battling out for E7 000 each. He said such a drive was one of the association’s commitments which they engraved during the September 2022 Congress. “I would like to thank the sponsors for joining hands with us as sports are part of our wellness. We have noted that all government departments are actively involved in sports except for teachers. This will help us to keep fit and once we are healthy, the children’s results will improve,” Dlamini said.

He also said that these matches would be used to select players who would represent the country during the regional teachers’ games. He highlighted they were going there to participate not to compete. He further urged teachers to support the sponsors so that they would continue with the ‘marriage’.
Meanwhile, Instacash MD Nxumalo revealed that the sponsorship was E7 000 for each branch which then translated to the E105 000 as SNAT was boasting 15 branches across the country. He said the other companies when he approached them, received the proposal with both hands and he was amazed that they added to what they promised when the negotiations were ongoing.
