MBABANE – Capital city giants Mbabane Highlanders have reportedly decided to terminate the contract of midfielder Enzo Motsa.

The former Mbabane Swallows player was one of the several players who were suspended by Mbabane Highlanders last month. Other suspended players included, veteran defender Mandla ‘Mshana’ Palma, who has since joined Ezulwini United, goalkeeper Mxolisi Dlamini, whose contract was not renewed and Ndumiso Mabuza, who has since been reinstated by the team.

The latter was an unused substitute in Mbabane Highlanders’ recent 1-0 victory over Rangers FC at Mayaluka Stadium. The latest news from Dumsani‘DU’ Makhanya’s team is that, the management has decided to release the Motsa, allowing him to join a team of his choice.

Disciplinary

“Enzo has been part of the team for a significant amount of time, but the management has decided to let him go due to disciplinary reasons. “The team has emphasised that, discipline is of utmost importance and they will not tolerate any player who encourages others to participate in a strike,” the source said. Meanwhile, Highlanders Managing Director (MD) Chief Ally Kgomongwe confirmed the reports that Enzo left the team.

“He is no longer part of Highlanders and we wish him the best in his future endeavours,” he said. Meanwhile, Enzo was returning for a second spell in the black and white side as he served the club under the reign of local businessman and Mbabane Citizens owner Bheki ‘Rubber’ Simelane, a few seasons ago before joining Swallows.
The latter signed him in 2022 under then coach Christopher Ennin.
