ESA EXCITED AHEAD OF OPEN WATER

MBABANE – “We are excited.”

Eswatini Swimming Association (ESA) Secretary General (SG) Nozipho Mahlalela expressed excitement about the upcoming 2024 Open Water Challenge event scheduled for February 17, 2024 at the Luphohlo Dam. ESA excited ahead of Open Water Challenge.

The event will include age groups ranging from under-13 to Under-30, as well as a category for those over 31 years old. Mahlalela encouraged all swimmers to give their best, as they have been diligently training during the Christmas holidays.

“We are excited about the upcoming first open water challenge of the year and encourage swimmers to register on time and participate in large numbers. This event is significant in our swimming calendar,” she said.
She said the registration for the event had already been started and the deadline would be communicated in due course.

Meanwhile, Swim Lab recently made quite a splash at the recent ESA New Year Gala event last week, leaving their competitors in awe. Held at Enjabulweni School in Manzini, the one-day event showcased the swimming talents of several teams, including Swim Lab, Splash, Sharks, Griffin Swimming Club and Pelicans Swimming Club among others.

Swim Lab’s dominance was evident throughout the competition, with swimmers like Hayley Hoy, Luca Fraser, Tristan Way and Kendra McNamara stealing the spotlight. For more info contact: 7699 0108 secretarygeneral@eswatiniswimming.com.
