NHLANGANO – Manzini Wanderers staunch supporter Sidumo Ngwenya has walked out of the team.

Ngwenya has dumped the struggling side for ambitious Premier League outfit Nsingizini Hotspurs. In a surprising revelation, Sidumo announced his new allegiance during yesterday’s MTN Premier League match between Insingizi YeZulu and Manzini Sea Birds at the King Sobhuza II Memorial Stadium in Nhlangano, where Nsingizini Hotspurs emerged victorious with a narrow 1-0 win, thanks to a solo goal scored by midfielder Thubelihle ‘Messi’ Mavuso. “I realised that my decision may come as a shock to many supporters in the country, but I’m now a Nsingizini Hotspurs supporter. While I understand that this news may be upsetting to some, I must do what is right for me. I am aware that there may be negative comments about this change, but football is often unpredictable and we must move on in life,” he said.

The former staunch supporter of the hub giants emphasised that the hub giants would always be close to his heart. “While Manzini Wanderers will always have a special place in my heart, I have shed many tears over the years while supporting them and now it’s time for me to start a new chapter with Nsingizini Hotspurs, who have already shown me incredible warmth and hospitality since I joined the team,” he added. In a similar move, Orlando Pirates superfan Mama Joy left the Buccaneers in 2021 to join the DStv Premiership side Royal AM.
