MBABANE – Highly sought-after player, Kwakhe Thwala of Mbabane Swallows, has reportedly received a new offer from Mozambican side Black Bull.

According to sources, the team has tabled an offer of E280 000 for the versatile Sihlangu utility player. According to the source, Black Bull has expressed their interest in signing Thwala and have already sent a proposal to Mbabane Swallows. The source said they were eager to secure the player’s services before April and believed that he would have a significant impact on their league and title campaigns.

Mbabane Swallows PRO Knowlegde Ngwenya, stated that they were not aware of Black Bull’s renewed interest in Thwala. He mentioned that Black Bull had shown interest in the player before the Chippa United deal, and he was surprised to learn of their continued interest. Ngwenya added that he would need to verify the latest developments with the team’s management.
Thwala’s agent, Charles Domingos, said he had no knowledge of the offer. He said if there were any ongoing discussions, it could be possible that Black Bull had contacted Mbabane Swallows directly, rather than going through him. Domingos assured that he would investigate and provide updates once he had spoken to all the relevant stakeholders.

He also commented on Black Bull, describing them as one of the top sides in Mozambique, with excellent facilities, their own stadium, and that they had a track record of selling players to Portugal clubs. He noted that the team is owned by one of Mozambique’s wealthiest individuals, comparing the owner to CAF President Patrice Motsepe. Thwala stated that he had not heard anything about the offer, but expressed his willingness to consider it if it was a good one. Black Bull managed to be runnners-up in their recently-ended season. The winners were Ferroviario Beira. Black Bull have previously played friendly matches against teams like Royal Leopard and Mbabane Highlanders last year.
