MBABANE – “We don’t fear him; Junior is just a player like others.”

These were the words of capital city giants Mbabane Highlanders Head Coach Dumisani ‘Du’ Makhanya when asked about their game against Royal Leopard and how they will deal with the aforementioned player. “We can’t really single out their players as to who will be in or out, but what is key now is that we have prepared ourselves fully for Royal Leopard” Makhanya said.

Leopard attacking midfielder Junior ‘Shisa gesi’ Magagula has recorded an impressive 11 goals for his team and is only one goal shy of Green Mamba’s striker Sabelo Sikhali’ Ndzinisa who is currently leading in the MTN Premier League.

“Honestly speaking, going into such a tough game without Moloto and Bongikhosi will really affect us as the league is at a critical stage and therefore, we need all the players. We are aware that they are high on confidence as they are currently at the top of the Log, but we will fight with everything in our power to get all the three points,” he said.

Meanwhile, Leopard captain Sifiso ‘Ayoba’ Matse, said the game against Highlanders was a big game and was important to them as they were aiming to get the maximum points.

Important

“It is a big game and a very important one. As a team we need all the three points, knowing the strength and weakness of our opponents. I believe the way we prepared ourselves and if we are going to apply correctly what our coaches taught us, we will win the game, (sic)” Matse said.

He further mentioned that since they were knocked out of the Ingwenyama Cup, they were now only left with the league which they are paying attention.  “As we are now left with the league, our focus is based on it and we are going to take each game at a time,” he added. Meanwhile, the two giants will battle for the three points later on today at Mavuso Sports Centre, kick-off is at 4:30pm.
