BRAVE LIONS CRUISE TO 10TH WIN

MBABANE - They are unstoppable!

This is the story of RES Siyakha North West League log leaders Brave Lions, who recorded their 10th straight win after beating Mhlume Community 3-0. They have maintained their 100 per cent record in the campaign. The Vuvulane-based ensemble, who have 30 points under their name, maintained a 10-point lead to second-placed Motivators. The latter beat inconsistent Tambankulu FC 1-0 to tighten their grip on the second spot. Third on the charts are Equator, with 17 points. Equator were not in action over the weekend. In the opposite side of the table, Rio Academy remain rooted at the basement with five points in 10 games. They suffered their seventh defeat at the hands of Mhlume Professionals with a 2-0 scoreline.

Trailing

They are trailing eighth-placed Young Killers with two points, with the latter having seven points. Killers were condemned to their sixth defeat as they went down 2-0 to Young Stars. Meanwhile, four players won the player of the match awards for the league which carries a E100 prize, courtesy of Delma Investments. The players were selected from the four matches played over the weekend. The weekend’s best are Brave Lions’ Wonder Dlamini, whose brace helped his team secure a 3-0 win over Mhlume Community. Ciniso Nkentjane of Motivators who excelled for his team against Tambankulu FC, and Young Stars’ Misani Mdlovu won it as his team beat Young Killers 2-0 while Sibonelo Ntshangase of Mhlume Professionals starred in their win over Rio Academy.
