E20K ‘MULA’ FOR POOL
MBABANE – The Eswatini Cue Sports Association (ECSA) has received a financial boost of E20 000 from MulaSport Betting.
This support will benefit all pool players, as the association will stage an open singles tournaments. The competition, with registration already open, is scheduled for next month. Organiser Sandile ‘Simongo’ Mamba confirmed the latest developments and thanked MulaSport for their support. “We’d like to extend our appreciation to MulaSport, as lack of sponsorship was a major distress for the sport, both nationally and regionally. Such funds are expected to restore hope and motivate our players, who have endured challenging times,” Mamba said.

The showpiece will be played over two weekends, with its inauguration scheduled for May 4-5, 2024 and concluding on the following weekend. It will take place in the capital city at the Billiards & Games Arena. “Pool is one of the major sports in the country. Our players have demonstrated their competence through recent performances in international competitions, such as excelling in the African Pool Championships,” Simongo further said.
quarter-finals
The tournament will adopt a ‘race to seven’ format up to the quarter-finals. It will be a’race to nine’ and ‘race to 11’ in the semi-finals and finals, respectively. Additionally, ladies will not be required to play their last objective ball but will go straight for the black ball. Meanwhile, registrations can be made through ‘Simongo’ on 7642 2033 or 7942 2033.
