MBABANE – Local players will have the opportunity to be showcased to millions of viewers across the globe.

This is due to the fact that some of the games will be televised on the South Africa Broadcasting Service (SABC) and SuperSports, as well as FIFA Plus.  This information was confirmed by sources closely associated with the organising committee. Worth noting is that SABC and SuperSport are partners of the Council of Southern Africa Football Associations (COSAFA).
For the second consecutive year, the Hollywoodbets COSAFA Cup will commence with a confrontation between Eswatini and Botswana, but this time, it will take place at the iconic Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium in Gqeberha as the tournament unfolds from June 26 to July 7.

Gqeberha is the designated host for the Hollywoodbets COSAFA Cup 2024 edition. The match, scheduled for a 3pm kickoff on June 26, mirrors last year’s opener, during which a goal from Lebogang Ditsele propelled Botswana to a 1-0 victory.  Hosts South Africa will then face Mozambique in the second Group A clash at the same venue at 6pm.Zimbabwe will make a long-awaited return to the esteemed regional competition as they open their Group B campaign against Comoros on June 27 (kick-off at 3pm) at the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium.

The day will also feature a high-stakes encounter between the record seven-time champions and defending titleholders, Zambia, as they take on East African guest nation Kenya at 6pm.
Kenya will be making their second COSAFA Cup appearance, having debuted in 2013, when they were eliminated in the pool stages. They are currently the fifth highest-ranked side in the tournament and have made a robust start to their 2026 FIFA World Cup qualification campaign, securing a win and two draws from their four games played to date.

The initial matches in Group C will also take place at the iconic 2010 FIFA World Cup venue, with last year’s runners-up, Lesotho, facing Seychelles at 3pm and Angola competing against Namibia at 6pm. Following these matches, the action will transition to the Wolfson Stadium until the final round of group games, which will be played simultaneously when the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium returns as a venue. The stadium will continue to serve as the host venue through the semi-finals (July 5), the bronze-medal match, and the final (both on July 7).
