MBABANE – Manzini Sea Birds are reportedly on the verge of securing the services of Nsingizini Hotspurs lanky forward Sambulo ‘Masoso’ Simelane.

An impeccable source close to Izinyoni Zolwandle, as Manzini Sea Birds are affectionately known in local football circles, revealed that the team was close to signing the former Rangers player, as they had given him an irresistible offer. ‘Masoso’ is currently in camp with Sihlangu at the Lobamba Technical Centre preparing for the 2024 Hollywoodbets Council of Southern Africa Football Associations (COSAFA) Cup to be at the Eastern Cape in South Africa.

“It is no secret that Nsingizini is set to lose ‘Masoso’, as Sea Birds have offered him a lucrative deal to him,” the source said. The lanky forward is fresh from half a season loan spell at rivals Rangers and was recalled in the second transfer window back to his team, where he immediately made an impact as he scored crucial goals for Insingizi Yezulu. Meanwhile, Sea Birds Public Relations Officer (PRO) Thami Cebe kindly requested this reporter to give him time to check with the management on the issue, but highlighted that currently, there was no activity taking place in the team as it was off-season.

On the other hand, the Manzini-based side were recently reported to have signed another Nsingizini Hotspurs player in former national Under-20 striker Mayibongwe ‘Suarez’ Mabuza.
Nsingizini Hotspurs PRO Sibusiso ‘Mnotfo’ Dlamini could not be drawn for comment by the time this report was compiled.
