EMACHALACHALA SHINE IN HOSPICE GOLF FUNDRAISER

MBABANE – The duo of Fortune Ngwenya and Ivan Myeni known as Emachalachala came out victorious in Eswatini Hospice at Home 2024 Golf Fundraising Tournament yesterday.

The event was held at Mananga Country Club courtesy of Royal Eswatini Sugar Corporation (RESCorp). The champions defeated Fikile Mdluli and Holisive Dlamini of RESCorp by a count back of 44 points. They earned themselves vouchers for showing mettle. Completing the top three winners was another Emachalachala duo in Zenzi Hadebe and Mzweleni Hlophe. They secured 41 points count back.

In addition SMVAF duo Martin Litschka and Ashley Shabangu amassed 41 points to earn fourth place. Count-back is a commonly used way to separate players who are tied after a certain golf competition has finished. If two or more players are tied on their 18 hole score, then whoever has the better back nine score will be placed highest. If that still is a tie, then it reverts to the last six holes (13-18), then last three (16-18) then two (17-18) and then the final hole individually.Sincephetelo Motor Vehicle Accident Fund (SMVAF) and First National Bank (FNB) injected E10 000 each to make this event a success.
