BONGIWE IN CAA SEMIS

MBABANE – Eswatini’s fastest lady Bongiwe Mahlalela is through to the finals of the Confederation of African Athletics (CAA) held in Douala, Cameroon.

A delegation of six athletes left the country the country earlier this week to compete in the 23rd Senior African Championship held in Cameroon which started this past Friday. The competition is scheduled to last up until next week Wednesday. Bongiwe Mahlalela booked herself a spot in the semi-finals, after finishing her 100m race at a time of 11.82 in the Females catergory.

Meanwhile, in the men’s category Sibusiso Matsenjwa got position three after he finished his race at exactly 10.42. He was followed by Thandaza Zwane who obtained position four after crossing the finish line at 10.66. Next up was Mcebo Mkhaliphi who got position four also after finishing his race at time 10.70.
