SA, MOZAMBIQUE DRAW ENHANCES QUALIFICATION CHANCES - KWAKHE

MBABANE – Sihlangu Captain Kwakhe Thwala has expressed optimism that South Africa’s draw against Mozambique has enhanced their prospects of qualifying for the next round.

Thwala spoke after witnessing Sihlangu’s goalless stalemate against Botswana, which took place at Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium yesterday. “We had a commendable performance, but unfortunately, we were thwarted by a lack of precision in front of goal. However, we will endeavour to rectify this shortcoming in our next match,” Thwala said. Regarding their group stage campaign, Thwala observed that all teams had played out draws, leaving them with a plethora of opportunities to take the lead by securing a victory against Mozambique.
