KING PROMOTES FORMER NETBALL BOSS SIMANGELE
MBABANE – Former Eswatini National Netball Association (ENNA) President Simangele Motsa was elevated to the position of Deputy National Commissioner (NATCOM) of Police Yesterday.
His Majesty King Mswati III announced the promotion during the Police Day celebration held at Matsapha Police Academy. Motsa’s tenure as ENNA president spanned from 2018 to 2022. Prior to this, she held the role of secretary general (SG). Her leadership experience also includes managing the REPS Netball Club, where she began as a player in 1995 under the guidance of the current ENNA President, Ntombi Masango, who was actively involved in the club’s establishment. An elated Masango extended her congratulations to Motsa, expressing her confidence in Motsa’s ability to excel in her new role.
“I have no doubt that Simangele will serve in this new position to the best of her abilities. She is a hard worker and passionate about her work. She played a key role in the association, notably in drafting its policies and constitution and in the holistic development of the sport,” Masango said.She also acknowledged the valuable lessons she learnt from Motsa as she succeeded her in the positions of SG and president. She shared her excitement about Motsa’s appointment, especially since Motsa will be the deputy to her brother Vusi, who is the newly-appointed NATCOM boss.
