MNOTFO’S FUNERAL THIS WEEKEND

MBABANE – Manzini Wanderers supporter Mnotfo Manana, who passed away last week will be laid to rest on Sunday at his parental home in Sigcaweni.

Mnotfo was reportedly knocked down by a car on Tuesday night around Jubela, Ngculwini. The driver Robin Sengo, who is charged with culpable homicide made  his court appearance before Manzini Principal Magistrate Florence Msibi. He was charged with culpable homicide alongside with four additional counts of contravening the Road Traffic Act 6 of 2007.  According to the Secretary General of Manzini Wanderers Sizwe ‘Motaung’ Shongwe, the late superfan of the team will be buried on Sunday.

Memorial

“There will be a memorial service at Manzini Central High School Hall at noon on Saturday, then during the night there will be a vigil, which will be followed by the funeral on Sunday morning,” Shongwe said. Ray Manana, a brother to the late Mnotfo said they were anticipating a high attendance as the deceased was well-known in local football circles. Manana will be remembered with his loyalty to the Nyanga Hlophe-led team, good hearted humour, fanaticism, endurance and unforgettable character.
