GAVIN HUNT FOR EFCA WORKSHOP
MBABANE – Education is power!
The above sounds true for the Eswatini Football Coaches Association (EFCA) as they are lining up renowned DStv Premiership side Supersport United’s Coach Gavin Hunt to empower local coaches next week. The association through their Secretary General (SG) Musa Mamba is inviting EFCA members to a national coach’s workshop to be held at a venue yet to be communicated. “The general membership of the Eswatini Football Coaches Association is invited to a national coach’s workshop that shall be held this weekend,” Mamba.
Ideas
The former now-defunct JVP Stars Football Club gaffer revealed that the facilitator of the workshop would be Hunt from South Africa. “The idea here is to share ideas on certain topics on the sport as this is a workshop not a course,” Mamba said. He said since this activity belonged to the EFCA, they were expecting coaches who are under their association and shared that the workshop would be held at the OlympiAfrica in Lobamba. “We are going to discuss topics such as periodisation, preparation period and training tactics, but I am not saying that we will be limited to those topics on the day,” he added. He also invited interested coaches to register with his office and they must be in good standing with the association. “An unregistered coach will not be allowed to take part as the number of attendees will be controlled,” he explained.
