EFA SHOWS GRATITUDE TO THEIR MAJESTIES
MBABANE – Honoured.
The Eswatini Football Association (EFA) expressed its heartfelt gratitude to His Majesty King Mswati III, Her Majesty the Indlovukazi and King Nadiope of Busoga in Ugada for their esteemed presence at the sixth edition of the Sincephetelo Motor Vehicle Accidents Fund (SMVA) Ingwenyama Cup prize presentations. The festivities took place at Mavuso Sports Centre, last Friday.
It is in the same event that the King announced an increased Ingwenyama Cup sponsorship from E12 million to E15 million for the next three years. Each season will be sponsored to a tune of E5 million. “Royal presence significantly enhanced the event, adding a touch of glamour and royal style which benefitted such a prestigious gathering. This competition, which links football and culture, is a vision of His Majesty King Mswati III and the involvement of international dignity like King Nadiope of Busoga further elevated the status.
“EFA is deeply honoured by the royal family’s support, which underscores the importance of this event in showcasing Eswatini’s rich cultural heritage alongside its sporting achievements,” shared EFA. EFA also extended its sincere thanks to His Majesty King Mswati III and SMVAF for their commitment to sponsoring the Ingwenyama Cup for the next three editions. This investment is expected to play a crucial role in the development of football and culture within the country.
Additionally, EFA acknowledged the contributions of various stakeholders including Prime Minister Russell Dlamini and other senior government officials and traditional structures as well as cultural groups, invited guests and the media. Their collective efforts were instrumental in making this event a success.
