MBABANE – TS Galaxy Foundation Chairperson Tim Sukazi, proclaimed that the club is dedicated to support the development of local football in Eswatini.

The former players’ agent made this significant revelation following his team’s win against Germany side Augsburg, winning the Mpumalanga Premier’s International Tournament at the Mbombela Stadium. Sukazi, a prominent figure in the football scene, stated that TS Galaxy is dedicated to help local football in Eswatini flourish.“I feel a deep responsibility to support the growth of football in Eswatini.

We brought Mbabane Swallows, the reigning league champions, to the tournament to help raise the level of competition and provide exposure for their talented players. I had expressed concern about the stagnancy of the sport during my previous visit, and this tournament is our way of fostering a sense of brotherhood and improving the quality of football in the region. My hope is that we can continue this tradition every year,” he said. While Sukazi acknowledged that it was too early to identify specific players from the Mbabane Swallows team who had impressed him, given that his own side had more of the possession during the match, he praised Swallows for their cohesiveness and ability to play as a unified team.

Impressive

“Mbabane Swallows demonstrated impressive resilience and tenacity, and I couldn’t be prouder of their performance. I would like to encourage the people of Eswatini to support the team, as they embark on their CAF Champions League journey. They have the potential to make us all proud, and I believe that with the backing of their community, they can achieve great things in the tournament,” he added. Meanwhile, in a stunning upset, the Rockets, as TS Galaxy is fondly known in football circles, toppled Augsburg FC 2-1, to claim victory in the Mpumalanga Premier’s International Cup. Puso Dithejane and Samukelo Kabini scored the winning goals. Despite Augsburg’s valiant efforts to claw back in the second-half, TS Galaxy ascended to victory, securing a well-deserved triumph.
