EZULWINI – It is a relationship that continues to flourish.

MTN Eswatini Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Wandile Mtshali announced a whopping E350 000 sponsorship for the 10th edition of the MTN Road Cycle Classic. The sponsorship launch event was held at the Mahlalekhukhwini House in Ezulwini, last night. The event was attended by the Minister of Sports, Culture and Youth Affairs Bongani Nzima, Eswatini Sports and Recreation Council’s Zama Tsabedze, as well as cyclists.

Exciting

Mtshali said it was exciting as MTN launched the Khemani Classic Cycling race, to be hosted by the Mankayane Town Board once again. “This year’s edition is sponsored to the tune of E350 000 and it has been increasing since 2013. We started with E200 000 when we started 10 years ago,” Mtshali said. The CEO also mentioned that the company had spent E3.2 million in the past 10 years they had been in ‘marriage’ with the cycling club. “These sports events help MTN to connect with the nation,” he said. Mtshali further urged local cyclists to win this year’s edition to celebrate the 10 year milestone.
