MBABANE – Former Pigg’s Peak Black Swallows Coach Sihle Mavimbela, has joined Shiselweni-based Premier League side Rangers.

Rangers formally unveiled the new coach on their official Facebook page yesterday afternoon. Mavimbela joins the Shiselweni-based side after the exit of Mthunzi Ginindza, who has joined Mbabane Highlanders. The newly-appointed Rangers coach spent last season in the National First Division (NFD), where he was in charge of Pigg’s Peak Rangers. Under his leadership, the Pigg’s Peak-based outfit finished the league in seventh place, where they managed to tally 35 points.

Meanwhile, it was earlier disclosed by the club’s Head of Marketing, Mlungisi Ndzinisa, that the club had big ambitions ahead of the upcoming season.  He cited that they would no longer be fighting relegation but competing for honours. On another note, Rangers Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Thembinkosi Hlandze, was contacted multiple times on his cellphone but could not be reached as he was not picking up the calls.  The publication was looking for further confirmation from Hlandze as well as Mavimbela’s contract details on top of targets.
