OVER 80 FANS OFF TO PRETORIA, MORE EXPECTED
MBABANE – As the wait for the 2024/25 TotalEnergies CAF Champions League preliminary round is over, over 80 Mbabane Swallows fans will watch their favourite team live.
This was revealed by the Chairman of the National Supporters Committee Mboni Dludlu. The capital city giants Swallows are set to face Clube Ferroviario da Beira of Mozambique in a Confederation of African Football (CAF) Champions League preliminary round first leg clash at Lucas Masterpieces Moripe Stadium in Pretoria, South Africa, tonight. According to Dludlu, ‘Birds’ supporters are still making their payments and they are still expecting more of them to show up. “About 80 people have paid for the trip to Pretoria; others are still calling to book their seats,” Dludlu said.
He further mentioned that the match schedule somehow let them down in terms of having a huge number of supporters going to South Africa. “Inasmuch as people are still coming in, we have not yet reached the targeted number,” he added. Meanwhile, the chairman disclosed that the travelling bus was already full and they were now organising an alternative transport that will carry the rest of the supporters. The match between Swallows and Clube Ferroviario da Beira is scheduled to kick off at 7pm tonight. Each ticket costs E50 and are available at Ticket Pro and in all SASOL Garages.
