MANZINI - Instacash and eBet have unveiled a staggering E162 000 sponsorship to independent leagues in the Manzini region.
The package will be used to host the Instacash Manzini League Cup. The Manzini National Library was a witness as Instacash Managing Director (MD) Mandla ‘Cheeks’ Nxumalo unpacked the tournament details with over 40 team representatives present. It is targeted at leagues that are currently not affiliated with the Manzini Regional Football Association (MRFA) following the latter’s switch to an alternate sponsor. Twelve independent leagues drawn from all corners of the Manzini region will be participating in these tournaments.
This announcement ignited great enthusiasm among teams. With the promise of both competitive spirit and community engagement, the one-day tournament will feature four teams battling it out for glory and substantial prizes.
“As part of the event, participants will compete for a range of exciting prizes, including a full soccer kit branded with Instacash and eBet’s logos, worth E5 000, alongside E1 000 in cash, a trophy and medals for the winning team. The runners-up will receive E1 500 and silver medals. Furthermore, numbers three and four are guaranteed E1 000. The top goalscorer and best player will be awarded E250. An additional E2 000 will be allocated for administrative purposes,” Nxumalo said.
Nxumalo further announced plans to extend Instacash’s reach by helping participants open Instacash accounts directly at the tournament. “We are committed to integrating our financial services with local needs. Our partnerships with stakeholders highlight our effort to work within communities,” he said. In a bid to create a supportive environment for local businesses, surrounding shops near the soccer pitch will receive a fresh coat of paint, further enhancing the community’s engagement during the games.
