OVER 31 EMASWATI COMPLETE INTERNATIONAL VB COURSE
MBABANE - A total of 31 emaSwati were awarded their Federation of International Volleyball (FIVB) Level I Coaching Course certificates.
The course was activated on August 12, 2024, at the OlympAfrica Sports Development Centre in Lobamba. Catherine Mabwi, a FIVB/CAVB Instructor from Kenya facilitated the course alongside Level 2 FIVB Coach Dlamini Xolile. The class had 38 participants, with the other seven coming from neighbouring countries. CAVB is the African Volleyball Confederation. The closing ceremony took place last Friday, at the Eswatini Football Association (EFA) Technical Centre, Lobamba. It was attended by Eswatini Olympic Commonwealth Games Association (EOCGA) Chief Executive Officer (CEO) representative Nhlanhla Dlamini.

Speaking during the closing ceremony, Dlamini congratulated all the candidates for passing the course and further encouraged them to put their knowledge and skills to good use. “EOCGA is committed to assisting associations equip their personnel so that the country can have competent squads to participate in international tournaments. As the office we are looking forward to receiving another proposal from volleyball for Level II of the same course,” Dlamini said. Eswatini National Volleyball Association (ENVA) Secretary General (SG) Thabo Dlamini spoke on behalf of the ENVA president and highlighted that the course played a major role in imparting knowledge and skills to the participants. “We thank and appreciate EOCGA for supporting the sport by funding the course. We would also like to extend our gratitude to the instructor for taking her time to come to impact her knowledge and share her experience to the coaches,” he highlighted.
