BGDS DOUBLES THIS WEEKEND
MBABANE – An opportunity to reunite through rallies and serves is being presented.
The Bruce Gama with Diabetes Sports (BGDS) Foundation is set to host a one-day men’s doubles and mixed doubles tournament, on Saturday. Founder of BGDS and aspiring Eswatini National Tennis Association (ENTA) President Bruce Gama said the event would take place at the University of Eswatini (UNESWA) Kwaluseni Courts from 8am to 5:30pm. He further cited that the tournament promised participants a fun-filled day of competition, camaraderie and a celebration of the sport. Powered by KFC Eswatini and Lactalis Parmalat, the tournament is made possible through the generous support of these sponsors.
“The foundation also welcomes donations or sponsorships towards prizes that include cash, merchandise or vouchers, as every contribution enhances the experience for all involved,” expressed Gama. He further revealed that participants of the tournament would have achance to compete for exciting prizes in both the men’s and mixed doubles categories. The winners in the Men’s Doubles will receive R2 000 per pair, while the runners-up will take home R1 000 per pair, while the semi-finalists will earn R500 per pair. “In the mixed doubles category, the winners will receive E1 500 per pair, with runners-up earning E800 per pair,” he said. The joining fee is set at E100 per person, making it accessible for everyone to join in on the fun.
