‘I’M BRINGING TOP PLAYERS’
NHLANGANO – “I’m coming with four top players for Mbabane Highlanders.”
These were the words of the International Federation of Football Association (FIFA)-accredited agent Alimasi Bin ‘Adebayor’ Saleh, after clinching a two-year deal for their former midfield maestro Banele ‘Pupu’ Sikhondze in Tanzania. The former Sihlangu player left the country for a three-day assessment with Tanzanian outfit Tabora United, two weeks ago.
‘Pupu’ impressed in the three-day assessment by the Tabora United technical bench and was offered the two-year contract on the last day of the Tanzanian League first registration window.
The deal was concluded last Wednesday. According to Saleh, the player is set to make his debut for Tabora, this coming Sunday, after getting his work permit on Monday. He then revealed that after successfully negotiating the deal for the former Manzini Wanderers crowd pleaser, he was bringing equally good players for Inkunzi’emnyama today.
Competitive
“I will definitely bring some top players for Highlanders, to make the league more beautiful. Even Manzini Wanderers and Denver Sundowns will benefit,” Saleh said. He further said he wanted to make the MTN Premier League competitive and attractive. “I want Eswatini league to be attractive so that more investors and sponsors come to our beautiful kingdom,” he added. Meanwhile, no comment could be attained from the black and white capital city giants, as Public Relations Officer (PRO) Kenneth Dlamini’s phone was unreachable. On the other hand, the Mthunzi Ginindza-led charges’ Managing Director (MD) Chief Ally Kgomongwe blessed the move for Pupu to join the Tanzanian outfit.
