SHISELWENI FA PRESENTS BALLS WORTH E87 780 TO TEAMS
LAVUMISA – Rescued!
The 220 teams affiliated to the Shiselweni Regional Football Association (SRFA) were each presented with a soccer ball by the association. According to the Chairman, Nkosinathi ‘Zoro’ Kunene, this happened just after their annual general meeting (AGM), which was held at King Sobhuza II Memorial Stadium. The SRFA AGM was held on August 11, 2024, just a day after that of the Premier League of Eswatini (PLE).
The chairman said this during the prize presentation of Lulakeni Promotion league teams under the Sigwe Inkhundla at Lulakeni, yesterday. The event was attended by the Sigwe Member of Parliament (MP) David ‘Cruiser’ Ngcamphalala, sponsors and club representatives. The league is sponsored by Premier Bakeries to the tune of E30 000 and was won by Lulakeni Celtics, who took home E7 500. Also present was United Holdings, which sponsors of the netball league.
Pumped
The insurance service provider pumped the same amount to the sport. Kunene said they decided to come to the rescue of all the teams through assisting with the basic need of the sport.
According to Sportsman Warehouse’s latest prices, a Mikasa soccer ball costs E399. This means SRFA has spent E87 780 on the balls. The chairperson further revealed that apart from the soccer balls, they also gave each of their 16 zones soccer nets.
