PIRATES’ SENANELO SETS PACE IN SCORERS’ CHART
MANZINI – Moneni Pirates striker Senanelo Nkambule scored a brace to lead the top scorers’ chart of the 8Bet Trade Fair Cup.
Nkambule broke the deadlock 13 minutes into the game when he channelled the ball past Royal Leopard first choice goalie Ncamiso ‘Mbhonyo’ Dlamini. The young striker completed his brace 21 minutes later, as he shook Ingwemabalala’s defence to slot the ball into an empty net. Only three official goals were recorded in the opening matches of the 8Bet Trade Fair Cup.
Mbabane Swallows had a narrow escape win, courtesy of Mlandvo Tsabedze’s own goal against Premier League rookies Sisonke.
A Leon ‘Chuster’ Manyisa shot from penalty spot deflected next to the post. It will take only a week for the top goalscorer of this tournament to earn himself E6 000. Meanwhile, the player of this tournament is guaranteed E8 000, as per Article 22 of 2024 Trade Fair Cup Rules and Regulations.
