SIHLANGU COACH LAUDS ESWATINI TALENT
MANZINI – New Sihlangu head coach Zdravko Logarusic has expressed his satisfaction with the level of play he witnessed during the inaugural matches of the 8Bet Trade Fair Cup, two days ago.
The new coach was recently announced by the Eswatini Football Association (EFA) President Peter’Samora’ Simelane, at a press conference, which was held at Lobamba, this past Friday. During his attendance at the Mavuso Sports Centre on Sunday, Logarusic shared his thoughts on the quality of players on display during the opening matches of the 8Bet Trade Fair Cup. Praising the technical proficiency and teamwork exhibited by the competing teams, the coach remarked that he was impressed with the talent and competition he observed on the pitch.
“As a first-time observer of Eswatini players, I am greatly impressed with the potential on display in the opening matches of the 8Bet Trade Fair Cup. From their technical ability to their physical endurance, the players have proven to be an exciting and good force on the pitch. After this glimpse into the country’s footballing talent, I’m eager to continue witnessing their growth and development as the tournament progresses. “Overall, I’m pleased with the quality of play I have witnessed thus far and look forward to seeing more of what these players have to offer,” he said.
The Sihlangu head coach went on to expound on the captivating atmosphere in the stadium, praising the infectious energy and enthusiasm of the Eswatini football supporters.
“I am thrilled by the enthusiastic support of Eswatini football fans. Their passion, commitment and sheer volume of voices in the stadium were truly remarkable. I eagerly await the moment when my team takes to the field for our first match in the country and I am confident that the supporters will come out in full force, providing a lively and spirited environment,” he said.
Meanwhile, Logarusic brings a wealth of experience, having worked across three continents. The 56-year-old, a UEFA PRO Licence-holder, signed a two-year deal with Sihlangu. Former Sihlangu interim Coach Sifiso ‘Nuro’ Ntibane is his assistant. The coach will miss the game on Thursday against Guinea-Bissau. He could not sort his visa ahead of the game after arriving late in the country.
