MBABANE – There is no place like home.

The above adage holds true for former Mbabane Highlanders fitness Coach Siyabonga ‘Siya’ Bhembe, who is reported to have re-joined MTN National First Division (NFD)-bound Denver Sundowns. A source close to the Manzini-based outfit, revealed that the former national team Sihlangu physical trainer was spotted taking the players through their paces, at the Manzini Club the whole of last week. “Coach Siyabonga is back with Sundowns, as he training the players in preparation of their Trade Fair Cup game against Buffaloes,” the source said.

Replaced

The source alleged that the former Mbombela United head coach replaced departed mentor Musa Manyatsi. The former Mbabane Swallows coach joined Manzini Wanderers technical bench. Ikappa Kappa Chief Executive Officer Elvis Dube confirmed the presence of Bhembe at the team, but did not reveal his position at the side. “Yes its true Coach Siyabonga has joined us, but I can’t state his role for now,” Dube said. Meanwhile, Coach Bhembe also confirmed returning to Sundowns, but did not want to go into details on the matter.
