NEW RANKS FOR HURUBE, DANKA IN LEOPARD MC
MBABANE – Just a few days into the new season, there have been changes in the Royal Leopard Management Committee (MC) structure.
These changes are said to have been introduced by the new National Commissioner (NATCOM) of Police and Club President, Vusi Masango. Leopard Public Relations Officer (PRO) Frank Hurube has disclosed these changes, which saw him occupying dual positions. Hurube said the changes were brought about as a result of the Club Chairman, Meshack Ntshalintshali, who has been let off from his duties but still remains within the police side hierarchy.
“Ntshalintshali was the chairman of the club and the club president has elevated former General Manager, Richard ‘Danka’ Fakudze, to the rank of Chairman,” said Hurube, who is now the General Manager. The incumbent MC has Sandile Dlamini as Team Manager, Mabamba Mkhwanazi as secretary and Treasurer Muzi Phungwayo. Phila Mamba is the Kit Manager, while Clement Mkhatshwa holds the position of Chief Security Officer. Malombo Dlamini is an additional member.
“We’re really humbled and amazed to be entrusted with this job. We promise to work diligently to serve the team and we’re open to any guidance in running the club. We also appeal to fans and anyone to support and assist us financially, socially and, otherwise, in steering the team to great heights,” the new GM said. For the time being, Hurube will double as the GM and PRO until a new spokesperson has been groomed. However, there are no changes with the technical bench. Edwin Matsebula is still calling the shots for the eight-time MTN Premier League winners.
