Simultaneously, they are also lined up against ABC Motsepe League outfit Njampela Football Club in the Prince Mangosuthu Legacy Cup. With this match set for 11am, today, the Alexio Sigion-led side will have to travel to Ulundi Stadium in Kwa-Zulu Natal South Africa (SA). It is said that the participation fee for this year’s edition is over E450 000. If they win these two tournaments, Nsingizini will generate over a million Emalangeni in total. In the second semi-final of this tournament, Richards Bay will play against Royal AM at 9am. However, they will miss the services of local international forward Justice ‘Figa’ Figuareido, who is currently performing his national team duties with Sihlangu.
It is believed that the Nsingizini squad will be divided into two, with some players remaining behind for the 8Bet Trade Fair Cup. For reaching the semi-finals the green and white ensemble are already guaranteed E40 000. As per the 8Bet Trade Fair Cup rules and regulations Article 22, teams will get E15 000 for participation. There is an extra package of at least E25 000 for reaching semi-finals. Nsingizini are fresh from competing in the TotalEnergies Confederation of African Football (CAF) Confederation Cup. They crashed out after an aggregate of 0-8 setback against Stellenbosch. Nevertheless, they still have a consolation of about E900 000 participation fee from the continental football body.
Their official social media page confirmed both fixtures, yesterday. They even offered free transport and tickets to selected fans. Meanwhile, Public Relations Officer (PRO) Sibusiso Mnotfo Dlamini could not be drawn for comment, at the time of compiling this report. “There is poor network as I am currently on the way,” he said. He had also not responded to a questionnaire sent to his WhatsApp. This publication wanted to establish how the team would compete in two tournaments in one day. This publication also wanted to ascertain if they had depth for both fixtures.
