NSINGIZINI COACH CALLS FOR MINDSET CHANGE
MBABANE – “We need to change the mindset of the players, as it is not easy to suffer defeat in the first game.”
These were the words of Shiselweni giants Nsingizini Hotspurs Head Coach Alexio Sigion during a post-match interview at Mavuso Sports Centre, two days ago. Nsingizini Hotspurs were defeated 1-0 by Royal Leopard in the MTN Premier League 2024/25 season. However, the green and white ensemble’s gaffer revealed that he generally was happy with the performance of the players. Meanwhile, Royal Leopard Head Coach Edwin Matsebula appreciated the positive results.
WHAT OTHER COACHES HAD TO SAY:
Christopher Ennin (Moneni Pirates)
Pirates 0-0 Highlanders
“We did not expect much, since it was our first game of the season. This is not the previous Moneni that was playing in the Trade Fair Cup. The boys’ legs are still heavy after an intense final against Buffaloes. We will bounce back.”
Mbabane Highlanders (Mthunzi Ginindza)
“I first want to extend appreciation to all our supporters for coming through to support us. We are still going to work hard going forward. We came to the game knowing that Moneni Pirates play short passes and are mobile. Our focus was to play from behind and close them down for them not to make their quick passes. We will go back and work on our counter attacks, ball distribution and quick transitions. We missed two close clear chances and we were disturbed by the red card that was shown to ‘Smoothies’. The one point is a fair result of the game.”
Zwelibanzi ‘Bhotsotso’ Khoza (Illovo)
Illovo 0-0 Buffaloes
“We did not prepare well, as we only trained for two days. The players did their best and I was so impressed with their performance. I was not expecting the draw.”
