‘ZIYECH’ BAGS FIRST NFD HAT-TRICK

MBABANE – CK Survivors’ Zamokuhle ‘Ziyech’ Maziya has bagged his first hat-trick in their first game of the season.

The National First Division (NFD) side started their league campaign on a high note, as they beat Ludzeludze Killers by 4-1, this past Sunday. The match, which unfolded at the Simunye Stadium, saw the speedy marksman propel his side to a decisive victory. The fixture produced the highest number of goals in the opening round of the NFD. CK Survivors top the MTN NFD standing based on their goal difference. They are one of four teams that got maximum points over the weekend. There were two draws in the season opener.

Meanwhile, securing the second place position are NFD debutants Magwanyana, following a 3-1 win over fellow debutants Amawele. Completing the top three after match day one are Pigg’s Peak Black Swallows. The latter walked away with three points and derby bragging rights against Pigg’s Peak Rangers at the Killarney Sports Ground.The derby took 82 minutes to register a goal as Siboniso Sibeko came off the bench and calmly converted their best chance of the game from the penalty spot. On the other hand, Lozitha Spurs completed the top four of the NFD standings, as they also beat debutants Masundvwini Royal Swallows 1-0 at the Manzini Club, three days ago.
