SIHLANGU EYE FIRST VICTORY TOMORROW
MBABANE – The national team, Sihlangu Head Coach Zdravko ‘Loga’ Logarusic, says anything less than a win tomorrow will see the team’s TotalEnergies AFCON dream go up in smoke.
“The next game will determine our destiny. If we win, we will fight for the second position. In case of a draw or any other result, we say goodbye to AFCON and focus on the next tournament,” Logarusic said. The Croatian tactician made these remarks during a post-match interview two days ago after their 1-1 draw with Mozambique. The two sides will clash again tomorrow at Mbombela Stadium at 9pm in the second leg of the continental premier tournament.
‘Loga’ said the game against the ‘Mambas’ was a good challenge and they deserved to share the spoils. The coach stated that if they do not secure a victory tomorrow, “My main target will be CHAN (African Nations Championships) qualification because most of my players are playing in a local league,” Logarusic further said. “What I can promise is that I’m not a magician but just a coach. We’ll try our best and see how far we can go. Tactically, we played well and found a way to play against Mozambique. It was a good game due to the pressure and its intensity,” he said.
