HIGH TEMPERATURES CONCERN LOGARUSIC
MBABANE – Sihlangu Coach Zdravko Logarusic has expressed his apprehensions regarding the soaring temperatures in Botswana.
His remarks came during a pre-match interview held yesterday in Botswana. Eswatini is set to face Zimbabwe at the City of Francistown’s Obed Itani Chilume Stadium in a crucial encounter that forms part of the qualification process for the African Nations Championship (CHAN).
According to the weather forecast, today’s temperature in Francistown is expected to reach a sweltering 38 degrees Celsius. “The conditions here are exceedingly hot, and during the match, the temperature will be 38 degrees. Competing in such extreme heat will pose significant challenges. We will strive to perform to the best of our abilities despite these harsh conditions.
Additionally, we will assess our performance ahead of the second leg in South Africa,” Logarusic stated. Sihlangu is scheduled to play The Warriors on November 2 in the second leg of the CHAN qualifiers at Mbombela Stadium. When queried about the Zimbabwean squad, Logarusic remarked that they would not place undue emphasis on their opponents but would instead concentrate on their own preparations and aim for a positive outcome.
