‘LAGOS’ HEATS UP TOP SCORERS’ RACE
MBABANE – Rangers FC veteran striker Musa ‘Lagos’ Dlamini proved to be a decisive player once again, scoring a crucial goal in his team’s victory against Sisonke on Saturday.
The Sihle Mavimbela-led side had a productive weekend, securing a comfortable 3-1 victory over MTN Premier League newbies Sisonke. The triumph helped the team climb to the fourth position in the standings, with the experienced striker contributing to the success by scoring his third goal of the campaign in as many matches.
Talented
The talented forward joined Rangers from Mbabane Highlanders at the start of the season, and his impressive form has already made him an integral part of the team’s attacking strategy.
Prior to joining the Shiselweni-based side, ‘Lagos’ was initially loaned to Piggs Peak Black Swallows in the National First Division (NFD) by his parent club, Highlanders.
Despite Green Mamba’s inactivity over the weekend, striker Sabelo ‘Sikhali’ Ndzinisa still holds the lead in the race for the top goalscorer award with an impressive seven goals to his name.
Spearhead
Ndzinisa, who is expected to spearhead Sihlangu in their upcoming CHAN Qualifiers, remains firmly in the lead, with Royal Leopard’s Junior ‘Shisa Gesi’ Magagula closely trailing him with five league goals to his credit. Meanwhile, the forward expressed his joy at scoring for Rangers FC, stating that he is praying for an injury-free season to continue contributing to his team’s success.In an interview, he shared his satisfaction with his goalscoring performances and his desire to maintain good health and performance levels throughout the season. “Every goal is a rewarding experience, and I am thankful for the opportunity to contribute to our success,” he said.
