RANGERS, SA ARROWS PARTNERSHIP LOADING
MBABANE – A source close to Rangers has indicated that a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with a South African side may be in the pipeline.
A memorandum of understanding (MOU) is a document describing the broad outlines of an agreement that two or more parties have reached. The source emphasised that forging such mutually-beneficial partnerships could propel the club forward. Meanwhile, Rangers’ Head of Marketing, Thokozani Ndzinisa, mentioned that in football, relationships are vital.
The team is actively working on strengthening its ties with South African Betway Premiership side, Golden Arrows and remains hopeful that something positive will emerge from these efforts. “Yes, player exchanges are part of our deal with Arrows, and very soon, we will see them visiting Eswatini,” revealed Ndzinisa.
Collaborate
He also noted that the technical bench had the opportunity to collaborate with their counterparts from Arrows, exchanging ideas and programmes during their stay in Durban, recently.
He mentioned that this interaction was part of a team-building exercise. Recently, Rangers participated in a series of friendly matches in Durban against Golden Arrows, as the Premier League of Eswatini (PLE) had no scheduled games, earlier this month. In their first match, Rangers held the South African side to a goalless draw.
However, the second match proved to be a challenge for the Shiselweni-based team, resulting in a 3-1 loss. Their final game against Arrows mirrored the second, with Rangers unable to score, concluding with a 3-0 defeat. Despite the setbacks, Ndzinisa stated that the experience was a valuable learning curve for the team. “We picked up lessons and identified areas where we were lacking, and we will work on that,” Ndzinisa shared. Meanwhile, Shiselweni outfit, Nsingizini Hotspurs signed a MoU with a South African side, AmaZulu, back in 2022.
