HRFA ON THE HUNT FOR COO
MBABANE – Finally!
The Hhohho Regional Football Association (HRFA) has started searching for a chief operation officer (COO). Out of the four regional football associations in the country, the HRFA is yet to hire a COO, as per the Eswatini Football Association (EFA)’s directive. According to a source close to region’s football mother body, they had started the exercise of filling the position. The source said the current secretary general (SG) was the one assigned to execute the job of the COO. Under the leadership of then Chairman Johannes ‘Ace’ Siboza, the Manzini Regional Football Association (MRFA) was the first to establish the position of COO.
Qualified
“We are happy that eventually, the association will have a COO, as they are already in search of a qualified person for the post,” the source added. The HRFA SG, Nkosingiphile Shongwe, confirmed that they were already in search of the person to take the seat of the COO in the organisation. “We started circulating the advert, on Monday through social media platforms and we are looking at attracting someone before November 8, 2024,” Shongwe said. He said it was a recommendation by the EFA for the associations to have COOs so that they can help in the running of the sport effectively. “The successful candidate will be employed in a three-year renewable contract and will oversee all the spheres of the game,” he added.
