JUDGE URGES LAWYERS TO ENGAGE CLIENTS
MBABANE – Supreme Court Judge Mbutfo Mamba gave some lawyers fatherly advice during the Manzini Wanderers case, this past Tuesday.
Mamba was hearing the ongoing relegation battle involving the ‘Weslians’ and the Premier League of Eswatini (PLE). The PLE has approached this court seeking to prevent Judge Mumcy Dlamini from presiding over the contempt of court order filed by Wanderers.
The judge, seeing that the parties will be moving up and down, forever trying to get the matter to its finality, advised the legal representatives of both parties to sit down with their clients. It is worth mentioning that the PLE is represented by Meluleki Ndlangamandla from MLK Ndlangamandla Attorneys, while Wanderers are represented by Sifiso ‘Charlie’ Jele from SM Jele Attorneys.
“Maybe your clients have deep pockets to sustain this rigmarole case. It’s your matter, are you able to sit down and talk over this?” Mamba said. “I think you know better. Otherwise, you will be moving up and down forever,” added the judge. Meanwhile, both legal practitioners, when responding to Mamba’s question said they do sit and talk over the matter. It is worth mentioning that the judge reserved his judgment on the matter.
