SUNNY PUMPS IN E40K FOR SHISELWENI FA
MBABANE – The sponsorship package for the 2024/25 Shiseweni Regional Football Association’s (SRFA) Sunny Super League has received a significant boost, increasing by E10 000.
This announcement was made during a launch event held yesterday at the King Sobhuza II Memorial Stadium Hall. The SRFA will see its Southern and Northern Super Leagues compete in an upcoming knockout tournament, which is set to commence in the coming months. The sponsorship has now risen from E30 000 to E40 000, as confirmed by Sunny Trade Marketing Manager Qinisile Maphanga.
Maphanga articulated that this increase in sponsorship reflects a gesture of appreciation to both the community and the players for their loyalty to the brand. “This is a way of giving back to our customers and the whole community for their support. By sponsoring the players, we also receive backing from their families, as they are all part of our target market,” she stated. In addition to the E40 000, Maphanga announced an initiative aimed at empowering three women who are passionate about football.
“This time around, we have decided to extend a helping hand by supporting three women who are soccer enthusiasts. The SRFA will assist us in identifying these individuals, and from there, we will help them establish their own businesses, where they can sell Sunny products during matches or within the community. The significant part is that all profits will belong to them,” she added. Meanwhile, SRFA Chairman Nkosinathi Kunene expressed his gratitude for the increased sponsorship and shared the association’s commitment to supporting Sunny.
“The support goes a long way. They are not only assisting the organisation, but also contributing to the development of the players.“This platform allows them to showcase their talents and steer clear of crime or drug abuse,” Kunene remarked. He further extended his thanks to the directors, staff and management of Sunny for their continued support of the SRFA.
