ATHLETICS COACH OFF TO SOUTH KOREA
MBABANE – Eswatini has dispatched a coach to take part in an International Coaching Advancement Certificate Programme Level II, which commences today.
This initiative seeks to empower Level One coaches and is being held in Daegu, South Korea. According to Athletics Eswatini (AE), Bhekinkhosi Tsela departed on Saturday, making his way to the eastern region of the Asian continent. “We are proud to send off Coach Bhekinkhosi Tsela as he travels to Daegu, South Korea, to engage in the International Coaching Advancement Certificate Programme Level II, sponsored by World Athletics,” AE announced.
The training programme runs from today until November 24, 2024 and is designed to equip Tsela with advanced skills and knowledge that will benefit athletes in the country. This opportunity not only enhances his coaching capabilities, but also aligns with AE’s commitment to the development of athletics in Eswatini, as noted by AE. “We wish Tsela safe travels and all the best as he embarks on this incredible learning journey. We look forward to his return, armed with new insights, ready to invest his experience and knowledge into the development of our athletes and to share the information gained with our community,”
AE further stated. It is important to highlight that this coaching programme is part of a broader initiative by World Athletics, to enhance the quality of coaching worldwide. By participating in such programmes, coaches like Tsela will learn about the latest training methodologies, sports science and athlete management strategies, all of which are crucial for developing elite athletes.
