EASY BUY REWARDS LUBOMBO SUPER LEAGUE FINEST PLAYERS

MBABANE – In a first of its kind, the Swazi Trac Lubombo Super League’s outstanding players are now receiving monthly recognition, courtesy of Easy Buy Supermarkets.

The supermarket has partnered with the Lubombo Regional Football Association (LRFA) to award the Swazi Trac Super League’s monthly finest players. The first beneficiary of this initiative was log leaders’ Sikhalo seAfrika player, Bhekimuzi Mahlalela. He was named the October Player of the Month.  For this achievement, Mahlalela received a food hamper from the grocery shop as part of its community outreach. The hamper included 10kg of rice, sugar and maize meal, 5kg of chicken portions, 2 litres of cooking oil and a tray of eggs.

Meanwhile, LRFA Chief Operations Officer (COO), Bonginhlanhla Gama, expressed gratitude for businesses that choose sports to conduct their corporate social responsibility (CSR).
“We are really grateful to our partners for this first-of-its-kind initiative. We thank them for choosing us as they give back to the community, and we urge the sports fraternity to support them. We also encourage more businesses to partner with us in their CSR initiatives,” Gama said.

He further highlighted many benefits of their Player of the Month initiative. The COO said it will motivate players, thereby making the league more competitive. Another advantage cited was that it gives players’ families a reason to cherish and support them, as they will also benefit from those players who are selected as standout performers each month.
