PLE SUSPENDS ‘BUCS’ STAR, MADLENYA DUO
MBABANE - In-form Moneni Pirates will be deprived of their key defender, Phila Dlamini, this weekend, due to suspension.
Dlamini will miss the crucial clash against Sisonkhe, which is scheduled to take place at Mavuso Sports Centre, with kick-off at 1:30pm. This absence represents a significant setback for Pirates, as Dlamini is a pivotal figure in their defence and will be sorely missed, according to Pirates Public Relations Officer (PRO) Meluleki ‘Sluga’ Simelane. “It’s unfortunate that he has been sidelined by the Yellow Card Rule at a time when we need him the most. However, we must adapt and hope that the other players can fill the void left by the defender,” Simelane remarked. Another player ruled out for this weekend’s matches is Sandamuzi Zwane, the striker for Manzini Sea Birds. Sea Birds will have to contend without him as they face Illovo in an MTN Premier League showdown at King Sobhuza II Memorial Stadium on Sunday, with kick-off set for 2:30pm.
Accumulated
Madlenya will also be without defender Sithembiso Msibi, who has accumulated three yellow cards and will miss the game against Ezulwini United tomorrow at Nsukuwansuku Stadium, with kick-off at 2pm. Additionally, Madlenya will be without Mphumuzo Mamba, who has also fallen foul of the Yellow Card Rule. In the National First Division (NFD), Mangwanyana will miss the services of Muzi Maphalala, who is unavailable for their match against Denver Sundowns on Saturday at Manzini Club Sports, with kick-off scheduled for 3:30pm.
The list of suspended players was released by the Premier League of Eswatini (PLE) yesterday.
