ZANDONDO HEADS ‘BUCS’ MBEKELWENI SUPPORTERS
MBABANE - Early this week, Moneni Pirates unveiled a new branch committee for Mbekelweni.
The announcement was made by the club’s Public Relations Officer, Meluleki ‘Sluga’ Simelane, who provided insights into this fresh initiative during an interview. According to Simelane, the formation of the branch committee is part of a larger strategy aimed at enhancing fan engagement and increasing attendance at Pirates matches. “I am thrilled to share that we are embarking on an exciting journey to establish multiple branches across the country. This is an integral part of our ongoing efforts to reignite the spirit and passion of the team, as our president Thulani Xaba has called upon us to do. “Our supporters are the lifeblood of this organisation, and we recognise that their dedication is crucial to our success. This new supporters’ structure is just the beginning of our quest to bring back the glory days of Moneni Pirates,” he stated.
Significant
Simelane, who is also a qualified swimming coach, revealed that the team intends to announce its next branch via their social media platforms. He emphasised that these branches will play a significant role in promoting the team’s merchandise, fostering stronger fan engagement and expanding the club’s support base. “I can confidently state that our goal is to establish a recognisable and distinctive presence among the fans in the stands. Through the establishment of our branches, we intend not only to foster a stronger connection with our supporters, but also to generate revenue for the team by increasing merchandise sales. “By creating a cohesive and vibrant fan culture, we aim to make our team easily identifiable and a force to be reckoned with in the footballing community,” Simelane added. In the meantime, the Moneni Pirates’ fan branch is under the capable leadership of Zandondo Simelane.
The committee comprises several dedicated individuals, including Vice Chairman David Ndlovu, Treasurer Londiwe Jiyane, Vice Secretary Vumile Lukhele, along with additional members Siza Tsabedze and Lungile Dludlu. This fan branch, which forms an essential part of the team’s new supporters’ structure, has already begun to generate excitement among Pirates supporters, as evidenced by the surge of activity on the team’s official Facebook page.
