TENNIS YOUNGSTER JOSHAN CONQUERS IN SA

MBABANE – Joshan Eziegbo has once again proven his prowess on the tennis court, triumphing in the Under-12 category at the recent tournament in Pretoria.

The youngster from Mhlume Tennis Club, showcased his skills, clinching victory after a tense tie break, with a score of 3-1, 3-1. Njabulo Mbhamali, Coordinator of the Junior Tennis Initiative (JTI), accompanied the seven-member squad and expressed his pride in their performance. He extended heartfelt thanks to the sponsors, particularly the Kwakitsi Foundation, which made their participation possible, and acknowledged the unwavering support from parents. In the same age group, Lindokuhle Ndlovu narrowly missed out on a podium finish, securing fourth place.

Notably, Sinelizwi Bhembe, the sole female member of the team, achieved a commendable third place in the Under-10 category. Mbhamali praised the players for their dedication and eagerness to improve, emphasising the importance of ongoing support to elevate local talent to international standards. He noted that despite the challenges posed by extreme heat, the players adapted well, reflecting their rigorous training conditions. “The future looks bright for these emerging tennis talents!”
