This is the heart-warming tale of former Sihlangu Captain and Green Mamba Central Defender Banele ‘Makonese’ Dlamini, who chose to spend Christmas Eve with his new wife, marking the beginning of a beautiful new chapter in his life. Dlamini stepped into a new life as a married man. The celebrations were intimate, and his joyful commitment was a testament to the love that now defines his world.

‘Makonese’s wife is a staunch Manzini Wanderers supporter. However, attempts to reach Dlamini for comment were unsuccessful as his phone remained unanswered.In the same festive spirit, Nsingizini Hotspurs’s right back, Wenzile Meshack Lushaba also married his partner, Tefesu Maseko, over the past weekend. Lushaba spoke to this publication about the importance of marriage, sharing how it has shaped his perspective and discipline. “I have started a new journey. I know it is not an easy step, but it is one that is necessary. Marriage teaches you responsibility and helps you grow in so many aspects of life. It brings focus and discipline in everything you do,” Lushaba said

The former Moneni Pirates defender went on to encourage other players, reminding them of the impact that making positive life decisions can have.  “As players, we are often misunderstood, and it is up to us to change that perception.
