MBABANE SWALLOWS SETHU RESIGNS
MBABANE – Capital city giants Mbabane Swallows left back Siphosethu Mabilisa has become the fourth player to resign from the club.
Umkhonto KaShaka are currently enduring a difficult period, with allegations that players have not been paid their salaries for over three months. Their last payment in September only covered half of their salaries. According to the latest developments, the Swallows player who joined the club during the 2021/2022 season resigned from the club last night. One of the reasons he reportedly highlighted was the club breaching his contract with the late payments.
“Siphosethu Mabilisa resigned last night ahead of the game against Illovo,” said the source. When the publication reached the player, he confirmed that he had resigned from the club. “Yes, it’s true that I have resigned after unfulfilled promises,” he said. The resignation of the highly rated defender is the fourth at the club after that of Leon ‘Schuster’ Manyisa, Kwakhe ‘Stopper’ Thwala and Siyabonga ‘Gusheshe’ Zwane, all tendered in their resignations recently.
Gusheshe is rumoured to be on his way to Green Mamba, while Thwala is set to reunite with former teammates at Young Buffaloes.
Meanwhile, Swallows Public Relations Officer (PRO) Knowledge Ngwenya said he is not aware of the player’s resignation as they are focusing on today’s match.
